When we closed the institutions housing the DD population, we did so with the promise and hope of a brighter future. Now, less than 25 years later, the only sustainable funding source left is in jeopardy. What has happened to our country? Somewhere along the way we have lost our conscience and moral obligation to one another.

Don't Cut Our Lifeline........The faces of waiver matter!! The drastic changes and cuts in the waiver program that have been approved; place the lives of our children and adults with moderate/severe disabilities in potentially life threatening situations. These individuals and their families didn't ask for the extra mental, physical and emotional burdens that have been placed on their families. Please reconsider the services that you have cut that may not allow the care that's needed or the breaks that are needed for the family member who is already working 24/7 and may need a break! Don't Cut Our Lifeline!

I am an RN that serves the IDD population. Making these extreme cuts only puts even more hardship on the families that take care of the individuals in their homes. It also puts the individuals, that live in their own home and have 24hr staff, at a greater likelihood to be institutionalized. These people deserve to live as normal of a life as possible; not live in an institution.

I have a daughter with extreme food allergies that effects her development. We are told she will need therapy of all kinds. Please don't cut support

We need continued support for this group of people by people who care about their lives and who are more consistent with care to be able to more readily notice changes that may be very crucial for them.

Jeff ' s LIFE MATTERS! He is 46 years old and he has been through enough! He has his own home and does not deserve to have it taken from him! I am old now and in remission from lymphoma. Don't Cut my Boy's Lifeline!

The 4 carried the man to visit Jesus. They couldn't get in, so they rose to the roof - broke through, and presented him to Jesus. We all need carried at some point in our lives, and then some of us need carried all the time. Reevaluate purposed changes so that we can always adequately provide those breakthrough moments!

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT FUNDING AND SERVICES FOR DISABLED PEOPLE SHOULD BE CUT. IT IS DIFFICULT ENOUGH FOR FAMILIES TO MAKE ENDS MEET AS WELL AS SPECIAL NEEDS WITHOUT MAKING MORE CUTS.
