I have worked in long term care for 25+ years now and I see 1st hand what the nursing homes go through to help the residents on medicaid. There are many places now that wont help these seniors because they have run out of money and can no longer pay. The money does not cover all of the expense. These are people who have worked all of their lives and contributed to the community until they had no more to give. How can the state turn their backs on this. Please don't cut medicaid! These people will have no place to go.

As a owner of two long term care facilities, this potential cut is by far the worst in my 45 years. this will set long term care backwards. The under funding of Medicaid will now put Illinois dead last and this cut will be considered a unfunded mandate do to the passage of SB326. We have reached our limit for financial borrowing . This cut will result in several Nursing Home to close.

These proposed cuts are hurting one of our most vulnerable populations. The elderly deserve more, not less. While I know there budgetary issues and concerns, making funding cuts this drastic will be detrimental to the elderly in Illinois!

Nursing homes already work on a shoe string budget. This isn't right.

Please do not cut funding for Medicaid in our nursing homes. The rates are already the lowest in the nation.

The 12% proposed cut is a tragedy to our elderly who already struggled to get necessary services. Please do not allow such a cut to our seniors who have worked so hard all of their lives , only to be dismissed and considered irrelevant in Illinois. Save our Seniors!

A 12.6% cut puts Illinois dead-last of all 50 states in how we value our seniors, some $70.00 below the national average & $50.00 below actual cost!
