The elderly need help they have worked there whole life and deserve to be taken care. This would be horrible for them please don't . Cut the people that can work and choose not to. There the ones that take advantage of the system.

I work in a longterm care facility and the majority of our residents depend on medicaid to pay for their room and board and medical costs. In the 3 years that I have been there I have completed many applications for assistance. Who is suppose to take care of these people when family can't or won't. There has to be other ways and areas to make cuts. No one wants to make cuts but our elderly shouldn't have to suffer for poor management of our government.

We must protect funding for nursing homes so residents have quality care, quality food, and home like surroundings. So that staff have fair wages, a good work environment, and a solid career path. Families depend on nursing homes to care and provide for their loved ones.
