The Nat West in Tarporley is the last remaining bank in the village. Many people moved their accounts there when the HSBC closed. All we have now is the post office !! A lot of elderly people still like to go into their bank me included. Witha bus service of one an hour it makes life hard!

I opened an account there purely because it was in Tarporley. The village needs to have one bank for such a thriving and expanding community.

Please keep it open as the Post Office is not a viable alternative for charities and voluntary organisations who rely on volunteers to do their banking.

I've been with this branch since 1964 and most times, including last week, I have to queue to make transactions, so this branch is clearly still well-used. Tarporley is thriving and the competition has just closed _ this is a business opportunity to secure new accounts and tempt people from the competition. Also, on_line banking is a boon but cannot provide floats or secure large sums in notes. Please reconsider.

I am disabled and travel is a definite no no. Post office isn't a bank and NOT a via proposition for replacing your services. I joined your bank in July 16 and when I asked are you definitely NOT closing. Natwest told me there were NO plans to close. However, within 5 months I'm being told it's shutting and my only option is chester or .

Please don't close this last bank on our high street... Many people can't access Chester/Nantwich, some people don't know where to begin with online banking and many local businesses rely on using this local branch.

If they keep it open I will move my account from the HSBC which closed and it's now a nightmare if we want to pay in cheques or cash we have to go into the centre if Chester!!

We live in Tattenhall and struggle weekly without a local bank, please don't remove the Natwest in Tarporley, it's an essential banking service for many.

Please keep this vital service open. My husband and I run 2 local businesses, both business accounts and our personal accounts are with Natwest. We've remained loyal to Natwest for 16+ years as we believed they provided a good local banking service. Without this service in Tarporley we will struggle with our business banking. We always visit Tarpoley High street shops when banking there and if there was no Natwest branch we would be less likely to come into support Tarporley businesses as we'd be forced to bank further afield. A local branch us vital to a thriving rural high street and village community. Please don' t close it and leave Tarporley without a bank, something already terribly missed in areas like Tattenhall and Helsby.

I am also disappointed to hear about the closure of the NatWest Bank in Tarporley. In a world of continuous cutbacks and cost savings surely there is a strong case for keeping a local bank open, after all the alternative of travelling to Chester or relying on internet banking is for many a major inconvenience. Profits before service is a short term mindset.

I was shocked and saddened when I received the letter last week from NatWest informing me of the forthcoming closure. I do hope NatWest reconsider their decision it's not been thought through.

Whilst retail banking is not as profitable as it once was, I believe it provides an important and much needed community service for more rural areas. Many residents are not able to travel miles to visit their nearest bank, shop owners and restaurateurs do not want to carry large sums of cash to pay into a bank in the city. Rural banks provide a crucial service to the community and as such it would be a massive shame for a thriving village such as Tarporley to lose their one and only bank, not just for Tarporley, but also for the area.

I feel that residents if Tarporley and surrounding villages will have to travel a substantial length to the nearest natwest. This is particularly difficult for those elderly or disabled and with bus being the main form of travel very difficult. The bus journeys are long and bus prices are rising... its just not feasible for those who do not drive. I drive and find this branch very useful to use.
