How can we expect the young people of Dumfries and Galloway to experience a range of outdoor education activities; thus building their self esteem, communication with others and resilience, if we take away this facility?

This is such an incredibly valuable resource for the Dumfries and Galloway region, offering such a wide range of experiences and challenges for our children. They learn resilience, team skills, develop confidence and learn to manage risk amongst many, many more life skills. All at affordable prices and under excellent instruction. Please do not let these experiences become opportunities for the few who can afford it and keep this facility open to benefit the many.

The activity centre is a real asset to the town. So many children have had such a fantastic experience there. It would be a great loss if it were to close.

This is a fab outdoor centre for the kids to have wonderful experiences with brill instructors. Cut the council pension pay cheques not the education budget!!

Council want to make cutbacks? Try not awarding housing benefit to under 18's! This will be a huge loss to the youth of Castle Douglas! Come on D&G council, you can do better!

This is a key facilty for the town, wider area and outdoor education in Dumfries and Galloway. The proposal to close it especially after the level of relatively recent investment in the facility is ludicrous.
