Sometimes it is better to stop and think of the future ramifications of an action that may be of short term benefit. Not all progress leads to a better life, I believe our current times are showing that in spades with people having to lead extremely precarious lives - especially here in london. This is why the historic 'institution' that is the Bonnington Cafe and Centre should not be closed. It's ethos is needed for future generations of young, idealistic, artistic, independently minded South Londoners.

Bonnington Cafe represents the last vestige of a London that more or less no longer exists, one that still understood the importance of community. To close it or even change the way the cafe is run would be philistinic vandalism and utterly unforgivable.

Bonnington cafe is unique and precious. This is one of the few remaining real, close communities in London. We all need it.

I had an opportunity to be a part of the bonnington cafe team for some time and there is nothing like it in the whole wide world. `it is truly a magical place. It would be a terrible loss to the community but also to the rest of the world who had or would have a chance to eat there

Please don't close the Bonnington café- If this goes, London loses another amazing historical cultural landmark ! Lets keep London unique and exciting! so much hard work by the collective of chefs, staff, workshops, small businesses which Bonnington hosts will be gone it closes!

This institution has real heart, something you can't say for many places in London nowadays.
