I've been a customer at Bonnington Cafe for since 1987. I've attended many events there and it has supported many artist friends with employment. It is a unique, alternative, radical way of working and of feeding Londoners. Do not destroy this gem, The Bonny Bonnington is about what makes London special. Long may she reign!

A true diamond in the rough! To close it would be to scrape off anything interesting and unique for locals, and replace it with more of the same old same old! Let this remain, and continue to be a place for aspiring art and talent!

Shocking. Yet a mother example of gentrification. For 7 years, I hosted a community lunch for people in recovery. It was perfect and allowed an opportunity for people to engage and give back. We we were always given a warm welcome and great healthy food.

I attended a wonderful charity event at the Bonnington Cafe, organised by Victoria Conran. There was a real sense of community endeavour and achievement to the whole evening.

The Bonnington and places like it need protection in a city seemingly intent on eroding its historical and cultural sites of interest unless they can be monetised. Please act to preserve this spot in a rapidly changing and profit-driven part of London.

Save the cafe! It's a great place, with a history, and I can't think of anywhere else in London to match it.

We love the cafe. It’s an institution. It makes our area special. I am so proud to live in a neighbourhood in London that has a genuine sense of community and the cafe is a cornerstone of that.

Not sure what could have not been done right over the past 20+ years...
