Please don’t shut it down. As someone who has lived on Bonnington square for the last few years I’ll miss it so

A vital sign of life in the inner city surviving and thriving without shedloads of cash, but by the graft of the locals.

We need to look after our community resources. What happened to localism, Lambeth?

I've run several spoken word nights at the bonnington centre- it is a wonderful, welcoming venue at the heart of a close knit community and one of the few spaces of its kind in central london.

The Bennington Cafe is a unique cultural and historic part of London and the local environment. Closing it would be an act of violence to the culture of London

One of those lovely places that feels special and so rare in this part of London. It's getting harder and harder to find places to hang out that aren't a McCosta. Please don't let it go!

Please don't close! It's so refreshing to see a community-run quality cafe. We need something like this to remind us what's it like to human, caring and taking care of one another.

I believe this cafe is an essential part of a unique community and shuld be kept open as is. This is part of Vauxhall and London's social history and should be protected into the future.

I have taken overseas visitors to Bonnington Café (from India, USA, EU, Japan etc.) and all of them say it's the highlight of their visit so it's quite true to claim that its loss would be "a huge loss for whole community, not only local, but on the bigger scale." Closing it or restructuring its operations style would be an act of thuggish vandalism.

This is a wonderful place, and everything possible should be done to ensure it continues as a community centre and café for many years into the future.

I am shocked to hear that this is a possibility after so many years. Let's hope there is a way of saving the Centre and Cafe.
