A unique unpretentious cafe that has been around for decades, sincerely hope it remains. Super that the upstairs is now a varied centre of uses. I was part of weekly drum centre there before turn of the century.

I cooked here in 2019 and was the coolest experience. The cooperative management of the cafe is what makes it so unique and special! Please don’t close.

Absolutely devastated to hear this news. I hope you raise the money needed to fight back on the unlawful treatment to this fantastic community café.

I LOVE this cafe and have been going there since moving to the area in 1996. Closing it in this way is OUTRAGEOUS!

Never been but wanted to go for years as I have heard good things about it. I live in Chiswick and would gladly come to Vauxhall just to go to the Bonningron cafe.

Listen to all these people who not only use this cafe but also live in the area. Sounds like a really special community asset which should be preserved. Please reconsider your decision to close this place down.

A family favourite, and such a great concept of a restaurant/cafe which has survived so long in London.

I cannot believe that such a special place has been shut down. It's a place that money can't recreate and would be a huge loss to London and the local community. Very sad and on the face of it seems like cultural vandalism.
