I moved to Petir Road because there is bus 700 which brings me daily to work in Orchard. Taking out this bus will make communting to Orchard very inconvenient from my home. I appeal not to remove bus 700.

What's the reason for discontinuing the service??? The govt encourages us to use public transport yet removing this route which is most appealing and convenient to go to the city..

If there is really a need to withdraw service 700, please divert 1 service to serve Petir Road. Now there is no connectivity from Petir Road to Newton Circle. Perhaps can divert service 972. There are a lot elderly here, it is very difficult for them to make so many transfers.

Public buses meant to serve, making profits is secondary. Everything also profit driven, no wonder country going downhill. No one cares for the people's welfare anymore.

700 gives easy access to residences along petir and students and teachers at GESS to go to the central area. Many residences would have to spend an extra 15-20min to get to the central area if 700 were to be removed. My daughter takes this bus to go to school everyday and it would be a hinderance to remove it.

This bus brings me to work everyday and connects me to town which otherwise will require me to take a feeder bus, to get to downtown line, and change to red line. Though its frequency is much lower than the other services, it brings alot of convenience to residents at Petir Road. As of today, we often face diffculties boarding 973 which starts its service from Bukit Panjang especially during peak hours. Changing the route of 972 to cover Petir Road will only result in overcrowding as residents at Petir Road will unlikely be able to board the bus. Please reconsider!
