Don't Cancel SMRT Bus 700!

Bus 700/700A is a useful service. Don’t discount it!!!

My children takes Bus 700 to school. There are many students who are taking this bus to schools and adults taking to work in Shenton Way. It will be very inconvenient if this service is removed from Petir Road. Please reconsider!

Pls do not cancel bus 700, fastest way from Petir Rd to go downtown within 30 mins. Bus 973 long waiting time to Hillview MRT and need to change train. Failing which, we will appeal to MP.

My family stays at petir road, it’s more convenient to take bus 700 to town. if downtown line, we still have to take bus 973 to Hillview..then still need to change line to Orchard

It is really sad to see that 700 and 700A is terminating from 16 Aug 2020. I have been regular commuter in this route and this is like lifeline for the people staying in Petir Road and working in CBD. Before pre-Covid 19, I have been seeing steady increase of commuters are taking this route from last 5 years. Due to circuit breaker the traffic would have gone down as many people are working from home. Hence, this is not the right time to analyse traffic load data and terminate bus service without first consulting the community. I studied alternative routes proposed by LTA in detail. Based on this, one has to add at least 30 mins to reach the same destination. Hence, my humble request for LTA not to terminate 700 and 700A route as Petir Road developments are developing fast (including German school and Dairy Farm Residences) and LTA should not remove these bus routes unilaterally which has been serving the community. Due to this change, the property prices of both HDB and condo in Petir Road could be affected as well. If required, LTA should explore the following: 1. Technolgical advancement such as on demand bus instead of terminating bus services. 2. Amend 972 route to pass through Petir Road as 190 is serving Bukit Panjang Road.

Pls don't cancel! It serves as a good alternative to already crowded bus routes!!

Do not cancel bus 700/700A. If it is your decision, please Renumbered as Service 971 plys Bukit Panjang Town, Pending / Petir continue to original routing towards Bras Basah serve to Suntec, Bayfront and Shenton Way

Currently my son is with ACS (Barker), he going school by this bus from mon to sat .

Please do not cancel 700/700A, we need to take this Bus from home to town directly and it's is direct bus for us from Petir Road to town. Should we take bus 973 we have to go to Hillview MRT to change bus and sometime the MRT train is really packed with people ESPECIALLY now Covid-19 is still not yet clear.

Bus 700 is what I take to work and to get to town! The alternative is to take a bus out to the train station or main road and change to another bus which is so much more inconvenient!

This is the only bus which brings us to town from this street. Please do not remove this bus.
