Words fail me when I think about this! But yes I am requesting that the Principals of the schools reconsider this.

This Christmas I will have three children all at Birmingham Catholic schools. However, a few individuals have made the decision that we cannot spend this important time together.
To say that this is so that they can 'focus on advent' is nothing more than a lie. St Thomas Aquinas is struggling to attract Catholic pupils and so they have decided to force parents hands by making life very difficult.
The Lumen Christi Academy needs to accept that it did not look at the real implications for families and hold their hands up.

I oppose the changes that the Lumen Christi Academy have pushed through with NO consultation with parents.
More focus on 'Advent' - all the do is watch 'hey dude, where's my donkey' and colour in snowmen. The time should be spend an a WHOLE family celebrating this wonderful Christian celebration.
If Lumen Christi Academy think that splitting my kids up at Christmas will encourage me to send them to StThomas Aquinas then they are sadly wrong!
Acknowledge you have made a mistake, show you actually have Christ at the centre of this decision and reverse this horrific decision.
