With all the talk of green environment surely keeping a train running is better than more cars on M50

Unbelievable that they can even consider stoping the train to Wexford. If managed and promoted properly this could be a fabulous public and tourist amenity for the east coast. This reeks of going backwards for the county.

The train service needs to be improved in terms of user friendliness and should NOT be axed. This could be done by linking the train times with the ferry times. Another improvement that could be made by providing more trains at various times during the day. These improvements would enhance tourism, generate jobs and generate more money into the economy.

The train from Gorey is like the slow boat to China! " hours to Dublin and 1 hour by car. This needs to be improved if you want any customers!

The train service should be being improved not scrapped. The train takes almost 2 hours to get from Gorey to Dublin by train but only an hour by car. The Rosslare to Waterford train was scrapped and the bus service that 'replaced' it is a joke. It takes 2 hours in morning traffic to get to Waterford. Stop scrapping services and start investing in them instead. Make them user friendly and prompt and people will use them.

Vital to keep rail links open to protect the environment. It needs creative thinking and good marketing. It's a really pleasant trip and I'd definitely rail & sail Gorey to London if only the timetable linked up.

the train journey from Wexford to Dublin or Dublin to Wexford is one of the most beautiful journeys in the country. And apart from that it is a very necessary service. But it really should serve the ferry or make more of an effort to serve the ferry. Ask passengers about the timetables instead of getting rid of the service

Axing any rail services is contrary to Irsih government commitments made under COP21 and also against the spirit of "Ireland's Transition to a Low Carbon Future 2015- 2030". A fully-functioning, interconnected and affordable rail network must be a cornerstone of future government transport policy.
I too had a recent experience with the 370 bus to Waterford leaving as the morning ferry docked - utterly pointless.
