I frequently travel to Dublin for work and would love to take the train so I could get work done on the way up but it takes too long and costs too much. I have also been offered work in Dublin which I had to turn down because the commute would add on 5 hours a day. With rents so expensive in Dublin and the numbers commuting from Wex increasing surely it is time to look again at the service and why people won't use it

Will never understand why the rail link no longer services the ferry times - when we came over to Ireland as youngsters visiting our relatives, that is how we travelled!! Surely it makes complete sense to do that - to encourage tourists to use it and for employment needs - unless of course you are deliberately running it down as mentioned. I am sure that if the train times corresponded with the ferry times it would greatly increase the usage. If this service is cut off, it will effectively cut Wexford off from the rest of the country! Why??

The wexford line is 1 of the most picturesque lines for tourists to experience! It should be improved not lost at all. Look at what happened up in donegal.... they lost a super assist through some fantastic countryside and ultimately now no train connection at all! Does wexford want to be left out in the great wilderness like that????

I use the train regularly. There is something wrong with a timetable which does not take account of ferry arrivals in Rosslare Port, but it was ever thus!
