Don't Allow Development Across from Brady Elementary School

Please stop the insanity. This project would hurt property values and clog up an already busy street

We are concerned about safety and traffic turning off of Markham - someday my children will go to Brady and I don't want where they go to school to be dangerous.

I live in the Wingate neighborhood and I oppose this development.

I live at 13 Wingate Drive and OPPOSE proposed development at 8000 W. Markham. I am worried how the traffic in and out of the develpment will affect the safety of the school zone.

I live at 19 Wingate and OPPOSE development near Brady Elementary!

I am a Leawood resident. This area of Markham is already a dangerous place to have a school. Adding more traffic will negatively impact the safety of the students. I am strongly opposed to this development.

I live and work in Midtown and strongly oppose any development to the area near our Wingate neighborhood and Brady Elementary. There are far too many negatives to consider - traffic, crime, etc. More housing is NOT needed in our area.

I am the property owner at 235 Markwood Drive, adjacent to the property in question. My biggest concern is the environmental impact of this proposed development. The creek which runs between my house and the property in question is already prone to flooding. Just last month it flooded so badly that my back yard was under water and the sewer up the hill and across the street was overflowing. I have additional concerns about traffic safety, noise, and pollution to the creek. There are so many reasons to oppose this.

I grew up in Wingate and Leawood and attended Brady. I'm very familiar with the current condition of traffic, etc. This development does NOT need to happen. With no signal light or turn lanes, it will be an even bigger nightmare.

There's already too much congestion on W. Markham in front of Brady Elementary and Wingate residents must exit on Mississippi during rush hour which already is a problem! Safety is our primary concern!

The area in which this developer is seeking to utilize is a highly trafficked and congested area. Increasing the number of automobiles will further aggravate the problem. His request should be denied unless he can provide an alternative route to help alleviate some of the congestion.
