On the April 4th, 2007 airing of the Don Imus Morning Show, Don Imus referred to the Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos." Imus initially dismissed the incident as "some idiot comment meant to be amusing" but apologized, albeit insinserely, after hearing calls for his dismissal. Sid Rosenberg, Bernard McGuirk (Executive Producer of the Imus radio program), and Charles McCord were discussing the 2007 Women's NCAA Championship Game in which Tennessee defeated Rutgers. Imus described the Rutgers women as "rough girls" with "tattoos" and added, "That's some nappy-headed hos there". McGuirk described them as "hard-core hos" and compared the basketball game to "The Jigaboos vs. The Wannabees". As of April 9th, Don Imus has been suspended by MSNBC and CBS Radio for ONLY TWO WEEKS!!!! THIS IS NOT ENOUGH!!!! NOt only were these coments racially insensitive, but also degrading towards women. ALL WOMEN or all colors should be deeply offended by Don Imus's comments referring to honest hard working women as "hos". PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO FIRE DON IMUS.

Two weeks is a slap in the face to these young women. He needs to go for good. No excuse for that kind of language ever.
