The only currently available drug for GP, Reglan, can only be used for 12 weeks, and may cause irreversible movement disorder. This drug appears to be safer, better tolerated, and more effective, with appropriate monitoring. Domperimide has been clinically successful for decades, and FDA should improve patient access to this valuable drug for GP. The IND process is prohibitively time-consuming for most providers and is preventing safer and more effective treatment of GP.
This drug would help my husband immensely. GP has taken away his quality of life. Having a medication like this would be life changing for him.
I think its very neccesary, the best drug for motility issues with the least side effects

It is ridiculous that we can't get this drug in the US. This is the only thing that helped me through many issues with my digestion . I ended up having 4 surgeries on my intestines before a doctor in the US finally suggested this. It is a hassle to order and then wait for it. Please allow this to be sold in the US!
Domperidone is my ONLY treatment option as I have other issues that prevent me from taking Reglan or erythromycin. I have been taking this medication for a couple of years with no side effects. I've been ordering Domperidone for 4 years now, from Canada. I was on Reglan for 2 few years and had terrible depression. The depression went away after switching to Domperidone. I had a Total Pancreatectomy and have gastroparesis very bad. Please approve this medicine. Thank you.
We need to get rid of the deadly Reglan and get Domperidone /Motillum available in the us since the entire rest of the world thinks it's safe enough that some countries you can buy OTC.

So many people need this medication please make it for purchase in the US
PLease approve this drug as it is the only thing that relieves some symptoms of gastroparesis ..eating is a necessity and cannot be done away with..........reglan is no answer as it can only be used about 2 months and causes irreversible neurological brain damage. If the reason for not approving is cause of pregnant women should not use it then doctors can just not give it to them. Other drugs that they should not take are still on the market. Makes no sense why people who desperately need this drug for some relief cannot have it. This is a matter of survival.We should not have to deal with medicines that do not work or have awful side effects. Please consider all the people who suffer and cannot live a good life as a result of not approving this drug. This needs to be approved immediately..Thank you.
My husband suffers in pain daily due to greatly enlarged colon and gastroparesis. I'm begging for this drug to be approved and monitored closely.
As long as patients go for electrocardiograms as needed there is no reason why domperidone should not be made available to us in the USA. It is the most effective motility medication available with the fewest possible side effects.
Domperidone changed my life. Among my disabilities, I have gastroparesis, IBS, and chronic vomiting. I have tried every option available but this is the only drug that works to help control my symptoms. I have been on it for years and my doctors carefully monitor for any side effects. This drug changes lives. Please do not take our freedom from some of our pain and ability to live as normally as possible away. We are patients who use this drug and accept the possible side effects. There are many, far more dangerous medical treatments more widely used that cause more harm on the market and widely accepted. Please don't take our miracle drug away.

This medicine has a made a difference in my husbands life, any one living with gastropraresis understands.
I was able to take domperidone for 6months as my gi clinic was prescribing it under the FDA IND study protocol. They decided to drop out due to the time labor and cost involved. I dont blame them but now we cant find any other GI in Oregonthat does or willgo through the FDA hoops. One month off the meds and i am rrapidlyregressing back to no food for me. Even the major research hospital here dropped out. This is not a new medicine,it has been researched and proven to work(save lives) FDA needs to approve it now!!!!

I have watched my best friend of 25 years basically starve to death until she was put on this medication. The minute hope had arrived the took the trial testing down. In the short time period she was able to eat a little again and stopped losing weight. This was truly a miracle drug for her and many others that face this disease. PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION.
It's only not in the states because they can charge more for the drugs they use now. It's all about money. They consider human life just a number in their profit margin.
WHY DO WE WANT PATIENTS TO HAVE TO GET DOMPERIDONE IN CANADA? SO MANY PEOPLE NEED THIS AS A PO MED & ARE UPSET THAT FDA WONT APPROVE IN THE US

My type-1 diabetic father has difficulty managing his blood sugars because of digestion issues. Before it was blocked, he found success in stabilizing his blood sugar with Domperidone. Since the crack down on using it, however, he has gone back to extremely unstable and inconsistency with his digestion that leads to dangerous low/high blood sugars.
The only currently available drug for GP, Reglan, can only be used for 12 weeks, and may cause irreversible movement disorder.
