my name is Teresa Sheeks. My daughter recently visited the emergency room because her ex boyfriend went thru a protection order and beat her, tryed to kick the unborn child out of her stomach all while he was telling her he was going to break their one year old childs back. This went to court however no one ever really talked to her about what happened. The only time she spoke was when the judge ask her if she had anything to say. They did not talk to her at anytime they did not mention the fact that his sister called the police the day it happened because he was walking around bragging about what he had done yet his defense was he did not remember anything. They didnt mention any of the pictures taken by police in the emergency room. They didnt mention that the guy had his lawyer contact my daughter for him(clearly a violation of the protection order since he was not supposed to have anyone contact her on his behalf). There were 4 counts of violating the protection order before the pretrial (some how turned into 1) there was no mention of witnesses, no one ask to listen to the voicemail the lawyer left on my phone, or the fact that while he was there in jail he wrote her a 4 page letter(wheich he denyed was his hand writing. I guess you wounder where this is going. he only got 6 months in jail minus the time he had spent already there, so an unborn fetus( 5 MONTHS) is not a person, or a 1 year old is still to scared to sleep alone at night and slept in her own bed until all of this happened. Or my daughter who is just now able to eat without a straw and is having nightmares, or the fact that i cant consintrate on any thing because i can only picture what she must have went thru and what would have happened had he got ahold of my 1 year old grand daughter. Our attempts to contact someone to appeal this decision and charge him with the crimes that match the damage are unsuccessful. So I am asking you and your readers for help. Thankyou
