All women and girls deserve safety dignity and privacy. It’s the law just get on with it.

Single sex spaces are essential for women and girls safety and privacy

Women and children need and deserve single sex facilities away from men. This is not controversial. There is a very good reason why there are single sex facilities for men and women. Women have the right to change on privacy & dignity away from the male gaze, and to protect their children from men who are overwhelmingly responsible for sex based crimes. Darlington council has a legal responsibility to protect t the dignity, privacy & safety of women & children when they are vulnerable.

Changing rooms should be somewhere to feel safe and private, which for a woman means single sex, not mixed.

I'm not a resident but I do visit and women and girls MUST have the protection of single sex facilities.

Darlington Borough Council needs to take the privacy, dignity and safety of women and girls seriously.

Male toilets and female should not be mixed all wrong

Transvestite men are not women, obey the SC Ruling and keep changing rooms single sex. You are breaking the law by allowing men in drag into women's spaces. For shame.

My mother was brought up in Darlington and I spent a lot of my childhood there. Patients and staff deserve single sex spaces and care.

Single sex changing rooms are safest for women and girls

The safest changing room is a single sex changing room. The march to mixed sex facilities in leisure centres needs to be reversed. No risk assessment was performed before they became the default design and they are not safe. Women and girls deserve dignity, privacy and safety.

This is a safeguarding issue, and must be taken seriously as such.

I can’t believe in 2025 that I’m having to fight for women’s rights and safeguarding of children because of a sinister and contested ideology.

I'm not in Darlington but visit friends here and use the Dolphin Centre. Single-sex facilities should be a choice.
