We the following are requesting a change in the rules in regards to dogs being on a leash at all times when outside. We understand there have been problems in the past with pens and chains/cables. However instead of punishing the entire park how about punishing the ones that are causing the problems. Our concerns are as follows:
- if someone is holding a large dog on a leash and something catches its attention the dog is going to run towards it and may end up getting away from the owner. Thus causing a possible injury to someone or the dog itself.
- it is not practical to be able to hold a dog on a leash while you eat, cook, visit etc
- this is a family centered park and most dog owners consider our pets to be family so it is like saying leave your toddler in the camper or have them on a leash.
- We think the logical solution is to allow pens, cables and chains and when dog owners are not being responsible or there are complaints against certain people give them a warning and then a fine if the problem persists. And if need be ban them from the park. There is always an alternative to a problem if it is looked upon in anothers point of view.

The park management is still ignoring our emails but the growing list of names proves we are not alone in this fight. Send a quick email to the park office today to let them know you expect a response. We need to keep the pressure on until they agree to meet with us.

I have three dogs and my wife and I are disabled. They have never cause any problems in the small cage we have for them! A leash is unfeasable for us.
I just want to be able to have my dog on a tie out. No way I can have him on a leash

I truly believe dog owners should keep their dog within the boundaries of their lot and make them mind. I am not aware of the/an incident that would resulted in this being passed. With that, this could be a definitive deal breaker for us. AA34 I am hopeful the park board will reconsider this matter.
There has to be a better solution than physically holding your dogs on a leash at all times.
My dogs are part of our family!
Sunrise 10 Dog pens are a better way to take care of your pet for the safety of our kids and adults as well. As long as there taken care of properly and used as temporary shelter.

I hope this gets under control really soon. Our dog is family, she gets excited to go camping. Loves to be outside with all of us on a lead. NOT A LEASH!
