To establish an open area, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park\'s rules and restrictions. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Baltimore, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. This would be an area, used at certain times of the day. Owners would be responsible for their own dog\'s clean up, which is expected even if there is not a dog area. There are owners of dogs who keep theirs on a leash but do not pick up and they walk all over the park. If there is a desiganted area it would hopefully keep dog activity to one area. Signs posted would inform people of the the area and times of use. Volunteers would clean up the area periodically to keep it clean. See some of the links to read the SPCA\'s endorsement of off leash areas, how parks like Prospect Park in NYC have a non fenced in off leash dog area at certain times of the day and week and a map of the proposed areas.
