We have a dog park in Soldotna and a newer one in Kenai. What a great way to get your dogs the exercise and socialization they need in a protected environment. This may also help people to adopt dogs when previously they didn’t because they had no fenced yard.

Dogs needs a responsible, monitored, safe and fun place to play. Too many attacks on the beach by dogs because of irresponsible parents, no recall, no manners. We are a dog friendly town yet we don’t provide the space they need to enjoy themselves safely.

A dog park is always a great idea in any community- especially rural ones. Not everyone is able to go onto trails or up mountains to take their doggos for runs!
