Early in May, 2011,Bright Horizon Families were delivered a letter with the following statement,

"The nurse role will be reduced to a 20 hour per week position at each center. Therefore, one nurse will be shared among the WP and UG centers and will split their time as necessary."

The Bright Horizon Families would like to petition to overturn the decision to cut the nurse hours and re-instate full-time nurses at the UGCLC and WPCLC centers. The parents would like to request a face to face meeting to discuss management's plans and decision making.

All those in favor of this request please sign this petition:

Updates

May 27, 2011

The management team has not yet responded to our initial request for a meeting regarding the schedule reduction. We are documenting these concerns carefully to ensure our expectations for a full-time nursing presence are clearly understood. Your continued engagement proves that the health and safety of our children remains a primary priority for the community.

May 27, 2011

The increase in support demonstrates how vital full-time nursing staff remains for our school centers. This momentum confirms that families prioritize the health and well-being of their children above all else. We are now preparing to present these concerns directly to management.

This is completely unacceptable. My child has medical needs and having a nurse there full time is not a luxury it is a necessity. Restore the hours immediately.

cut costs somewhere else not the health of our kids. 20 hours is not enough coverage at all.
