There are so many wondeful and diverse documentaries being made and distributed these days that I strongly feel the HFPA members should have the opportunity to see these films and recognize the filmmakers.

Why would this not be appropriate? many documentaries are rleeased theatrically around hte world each year, this cateogry should not be ignored, whether theatrical or on TV (The GLobes thankfully address both mediums). Thank you.
