The 'Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular' is a concert production inspired by the 'Doctor Who Proms' in London. It features music from composers like Murray Gold, Ron Grainer, Dudley Simpson and Mark Ayres, from the science fiction British television series 'Doctor Who' and is conducted by resident Doctor Who conductor Ben Foster.

From its inaugural debut in Melbourne, in February 2012, the musical event has been to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Wellington, with 18 shows already performed.

For Whovians (Doctor Who fans), it is a thrilling event that showcases the best of Doctor Who music. In addition, while some of the DWSS team and artistes are from the UK, others are from the country being toured to itself; the home orchestras (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Metropolitan Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra), choruses (Concordis Chamber Choir, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus and The Orpheus Choir of Wellington), soloists (Antoinette Halloran, Tobias Cole, Daniel Bonic-Goodwin, Paul McMahon, Greta Wilkinson, Iain Henderson, Lauren Alvery, Anna Pierard, Oliver Sewell and Mia Vinaccia) and local actors dressed as the Doctor Who monsters. It is an exciting opportunity for Whovians from that country to hear the music of Who played by their home orchestra, and specifically inculcates a certain joy in the younger ones to enjoy classical music like never before, perhaps inspiring them to become future composers, conductors and musicians

Thus, this petition is a request to the lovely people at BBC Worldwide,BBC Worldwide Asia and the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular (DWSS) team to consider Singapore as a possible future tour destination for the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular.

With the growing number of Whovians in Singapore and the surrounding countries in South East Asia, it would be fantastic to have a piece of the TARDIS (and a few pepper pots in tow) detour to this sunny island, instead of flying over and bypassing it, with each tour it makes.

The Whovians in this part of the world welcome you all with open arms, delicious food, and gorgeous sunny weather!

Sincerely,
Vanessa Aisha M
