It is time for the good doctor to thaw. I know he loves Louisa and James, he just needs to learn how to demonstrate that affection.As previously mentioned in the comments, he needs to act on the words he spoke to Louisa pre-op.. She may not remember I fear, as she was being anesthetized. He is starting to deal with the devils - particularly his mother. ( I wish Louisa would have grabbed that clock from her at the airport).

Please you have to have another series and get Martin and Louisa back together permanently. Deal with his awful childhood and dreadful mother and make Louisa realise she can't live without him - warts and all!!

This is the best show I have seen in years. I feel I have a little bit of docmartinitis I need to see a doctor about.. I know he has to stay true to form, but he needs to pull his head out of his arse and do right by Louisa..!!

I agree with Missy Earl. There has to be a 7th series. So many things were left unfinished (hopefully deliberately in order to have another season) especially Doc's horrible behavior and his relationship with Louisa as it has become worse. I don't want to wait another 2 years.
