Bring Back DoBeDo!

DoBeDo was a much loved avatar chat site that closed in 2001.When itexisted it was in a league of its owncompared to other chats at the time,which largely justconsisted of plain text.

The chat was set on a virtualisland, with a cartoon-like appearance,which had different locations to visit and chat at. You could choose a premade cartoon image as your avatar, or you could upload your own. You could even design your own room, collectvirtual items and decorate your room with them.

It was a chat website that has arguablylaid the foundations for all existing graphical chat websites today, and thus deserves much praise.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Unfortunately, as previously stated, the site closed in 2001. So this is a petitionfor all ex-DoBeDoers to sign if they want it to come back on the net. If we get a few hundred online signatures, I will send this along to the makers of DoBeDo via social networking in the hopes they will seriously consider resurrecting the chat.

All they need to do is develop a means of getting enough money from the site, to continue to keep it running. This could easily be done if new money making methods which are used by existing chat sites are utilised on DoBeDo. Let me give you an example: many graphical chat sites these days have set up a scheme where you pay via SMS to gain virtual money/credit, so you can purchase items within the chat. But this is merely a suggestion of course.
