We believe Mr. White does not want to leave his position as principal at Bolingbrook High School. Rather, he wants to stay to see his vision come to fruition, but feels extremely limited due to the policies put in place by the districts administrators. We feel he's being forced into resigning or risk being fired.
Mr. White came into a school that was out of control and very quickly took control. The difference was noted in a very short time. Students felt safer, which led to more instructional time, and better focused students. There are fewer behavior concerns and an increase in academic achievement across the board. Teachers and student do not want him to leave. Please sign this petition to show your support for principal Michael White!!
The exhaustion is setting in but we cannot afford to lose momentum now while we are still climbing toward our first hundred signatures. Please take a moment to post this link to your own pages because the district is watching and we need to show them that this community refuses to be silent.

As a transfer student I was unsure of what to expect coming into BHS because of all the bad drama but I came into a school that was absolutely amazing and everyone I met said this was because of Mr.White, I truly hope he stays

Mr. white has made our schools safe. He supports the staff and expects students to be accountable. I've been a resident for 35 years. I've watched Bolingbrook grow. I believe principal White to be the best we have had. Please school Board, find a way to keep him!

My daughter, a freshman, has seen discipline from Mr. White toward a student who was disrupting those around her in class. It is good to know that Mr. White is working hard to make BHS a great place to be and learn. He is a true asset and should be retained. BHS needs him.

I still know many Bolingbrook High School parents (I am a retired BHS teacher) and they have all told me how much they appreciate everything Mr. White has done for our school. It would be a shame if he could not continue the work he is doing for BHS.

I think it is ridiculous to remove the glue that has rebuilt and is holding this institution together. There is respect from the community support from Parents, students & faculty; is this not what matters most? After several years of trying and failing as a whole Bolingbrook H.S

I had children at BHS from 2005 to 2013 and Mr. White has done the best job of all. The school was out of control before he arrived, and it is finally on the right track. Previous principals need to get past their ego and let the man do the job he was hired to do.

Considering the horrible conditions of BHS before Mr. White's tenure as principal and what it was like during said tenure, Mr. White made our school, safer, our students more responsible for their education, and strode for only the ABSOLUTE best out of his students. Keep Hope Alive!

I think that Mr. Mitchem should resign because our students are losing good teachers and now we lost a principal that had a great impact on our school.
