A plastic bag can take between 400 to 1,000 years to break down, only to contaminate soil, waterways, and increase climate change.

Only Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle have banned plastic bags. As citizens of Georgia we are concerned about how much plastic we use to never recycle. Let's work together to make a difference in Georgia. We are asking you to sign in an effort to ban single-use plastic in Georgia.

Seeing this grow makes me feel like our beautiful Georgia landscape has a real fighting chance. I started this because I am tired of seeing trash in our local creeks and your response gives me so much hope.
