We're better than this. Our community is better than this. Our nation is better than this. "Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name MOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

This is the work of a known troll who tries to set people on edge. It's done for the purpose of pissing people off. Nothing else.

I often travel for Thrones events, and help organize and promote events as well. Exclusionary and combative activity like this should not be associated with the game or your store.

Poor Taste. Simple as that.

Gaming is supposed to be about bringing people together, in camaraderie and respect, where people of different backgrounds, socio-economic class, ethnicity, creed, and religion can come together as peers. This card does not foster that spirit. That the lessons and themes of George R. R. Martin's work have been entirely missed in order for this card to have been created is disappointing.

While I fully understand that the tournament organizer and the local game shop are not responsible for individual players' decisions, I must voice that I would never attend an event where something like this would be allowed to be displayed publicly.

To hell with this.

Why would anyone put this on a card except to exclude people?

Game stores should make everyone feel welcome, regardless of political views. Allowing people to brag about political victories will make people who did not support those political movements feel unwelcome. This is completely unnecessary at a fantasy card game tournament where politics should have no place.

This is a fairly serious and divisive issue and does not really belong as part of the escapist GoT meta nor as being made light of in this context. Please rethink the distribution and use of this alt-art card. Thank you.

As a member of San Diego's meta this alt-art is in poor taste, can lead to political hostility, and can make players feel alienated. I hope the organizers decides to not move forward with the tasteless alt-art.
