Small-boaters need more, not fewer, public harbor and docking facilities—including for visiting craft. They need places to pull into in emergencies or bad weather, for example, or to rest temporarily. For goodness sake, our Hawaiian Islands are surrounded by ocean!

All the escort boats for the annual Maui-to-Lana'i Paddle for the Cure land at the harbor. What's going to happen to them and, by extension, this annual fund raiser for cancer research?

Auwe! Hewa! Our elected officials, we chose to protect our aina, to support and protect the rights of the aina and kamaaina have betrayed those they swore to protect! Hawaii has become over run by those with money and influenece for selfish and economic gain! How dare you, those with the power to make changes turn your backs on us for profit and personal gain! This is wrong on all levels. Lies, deceit, betrayl of trust! STOP selling out the people and the land! STOP!! None of this is in the best interests of the people or the state, and it is continually happening on every island. Soon there will be no Hawaii it will simply be another metropolitan playground for the 1%, the rich and greedy. Destruction and decay is all that will follow. Those of you who helped this happen will fall as well. Dont be fooled into thinking otherwise. You will be cast aside stripped of all you hold so dear and be just another statistic of the destruction you assisted in becoming.
