There isn't a need for another huge apartment complex in that area. That parcel of land should be used for future development of business and other planned development. It's location between ETSU and the downtown area is not suited for another large complex.

Development for development's sake is not progress, and will i the long run impede the growth of the downtown corridor. Why the rush, Johnson City council!? The Mill has been there this long, what could possibly be the harm in waiting until the right solution comes along? Transient, rent-by-the-room student housing does not advance the vision or mission of downtown revitalization, nor does it even a meet a need for the university! No one wins with this solution.

Find someone with vision and capitol to rehab the mill. Not another build~n~dump college apartment developer.

No to rezoning for out of state developers who have no concept of the Historic Tree Streets Neighborhood. Al Capone had less negative impact than this proposed plan of development.

please do not make a decision that our neighborhood will regret for the next 25 years. The builders have already pulled a bait and switch. No one want this type of building in this area.

Historical factor with Tree Streets. Parking has always been issue with this area and this proposal will not enhance this situation. The area has always had to endure business and noise levels throughout this area and other unmentionable issues. This area has always had some issues with fraternity houses and now a mega fraternity house is planned. While I'm for the C of C, this is a private issue that they pursued, it's not up to the city or taxpayers to bail them out. It's time for this area to fey a break.

Walnut Street needs more small businesses, not apartments. We have the residential that we desire within our Tree Street neighborhood already. More small businesses will draw more of the neighborhood out to strengthen the community. Thanks.

This is not the right development for this important property. A comprehensive corridor study is essential. Planning for the proper long-term development of this corridor is needed.

The Tree Streets Neighborhood has done so much to improve and revitalize over the past 20 years. This would be a step backward for this wonderful, family-friendly neighborhood.
