I strongly object to the changing the name of this Bridge. What is wrong with the current name? Why and who decided this was something the citizens of Limerick were in favour of. Do the right thing, abandon this folly :).

I do not want the name to change whatsoever. The shannon river is one of the largest rivers in Europe and the name is renowned throughout the world. The bridge over the shannon is at present appropriately named after this renowned river and I for one will be opposing any change to it.
