Pardoning a privileged murderer who wantonly killed a person who was sworn to protect would send the wrong message about the role of duty holders towards rights bearers.
It would be open season by the rich, famous and powerful against the least among us.
The best Mr Mukata can hope for is to spend the rest of his natural life in confinement so that he is an object lesson.

Dont pardon. There are more deserving people who have committed petty crimes and are languishing in prison.
Equal justice for all ,poor or rich!
He must not be pardoned for killing an innocent man.
I hope this gets to protect the least amongst us.

Law makers are elected to formulate and protect the constitution and the electorate. Abuse arising from privileged positions is unasked for and perpetrators must never be pardoned.
