It would be terrible to remove the McCarran name form the Las Vegas airport after all Senator McCarran did for aviation like bring Nellis and the airport to Las Vegas. Being a support of mining and gaming when it was not popular and many other good things to the people of Nevada. All the accusations seem to be made up so that Reid can make a memorial to himself. Look for actual news articles from the time of McCarran and what he did - not the gossip and rumors started by those that wish to benefit from bad mouthing a dead man.

What a waste ! Harry was a crook not a patriot and not someone Nevada is or should be proud of. His time in the Senate was spent lying,cheating and making himself wealthy!!!!

As a native of Clark County for 75 years and a resident of Las Vegas since 1961 I strongly oppose the renaming of McCarran Airport to Reid. My grandfather brought TWA to this valley in 1937, and he was not a fan of Harry Reid and would be extremely unhappy to see the airport renamed.
