Ticks are much more deadly than fox says. Mice carry disease. Consider the oral rabies vaccination!

Is this just another excuse to kill for pleasure ? I feel bad for them between our harsh winters, ticks, disease and other bs they fight to survive we do this to help.

This is not the solution. Animals other than foxes get rabies, and destroying the Fox population will do nothing to address skunks, raccoons, etc. This is a panic-driven response that will not solve the problem. Vaccination pellets will help far more.

Taking animals out of the food chain will cause chaos. Foxes help keep the rats, rabbits, and mice away. Less Lyme Disease cases. I’ve had it. Please find another way.

There are ALWAYS other solutions. We must teach our children to live and let live. Respect all life !!!

I will start by saying I am not a Bath resident. I do, however love spending time visiting your wonderful town. Please do not do this. There are better ways to go about containing and controlling a rabies threat. Killing all animals trapped is not the right move, there will be environmental consequences. All animals have a purpose in the ecosystem. I stand with your residents in asking, pleading, begging, you to use common sense and SCIENCE to solve the issue.

Mass murders are always wrong. No matter how you justify it.

Please come up with an alternative solution. Without testing, there is no way to determine if the problem is being eradicated. Too many HEALTHY animals will mostly die, as rabid animals normally did not enter traps. Thank you for your anticipated change of mind and heart.

As a wildlife biologist and veterinarian, I find this completely morally reprehensible and scientifically flawed. Options such as oral rabies and education is much more likely to have a positive impact. This is about as logical as killing all people in a geographical region to prevent Corona virysir influenza. It's cruel, unethical and nothing short of unmitigated cruelty.

The first thought that comes to my mind is this is a hunters solution, another animal to hunt, and not for food...for the pure pleasure of the kill or for their fur. It makes no sense to disturb the balance of nature without thoroughly investigating other ways of achieving a solution to this problem.

Foxes and coyotes and opossums are HELPING the human race in its losing battle against tick-borne diseases. Of course esch animal should be tested for rabies before it’s killed; otherwise this “cull” is actually a planned extinction of a species in a specific area.

Foxes are my 7 year olds favorite animal. She is obsessed! She wants to rescue Foxes when she is older. It breaks my heart that this is happening and hope it can be stopped.

Use the edible vaccines not traps. To kill hundreds of healthy animals for a few that are not well is a heavy handed abuse of power.

Typical knee jerk human reaction. Why solve a problem using reason and logic when we can just kill it.

Vaccinate the animals to stop the virus instead of killing them.

This is not going to help! And what about all the other animals??

This is not a well thought out plan. Killing the predatory animals causes more damage to the eco system than it helps lower the rabies epidemic we're experiencing. More and better option can be found.
