Just wrong.. loosen the financial bone & pepper the mountain with rabies pellets. Stop the spread instead of killing a part of the delicate balance!

There are other ways than killing

There has got to be a better way than the mass killing of a beneficial animal. Killing off the foxes will put an already strained ecosystem in more jeopardy. The foxes are very beneficial in keep the tick hosts down.

Thank you for protecting people and pets form rabies but please consider other options to contain the spread of the disease. Foxes are important to our ecosystem.

This plan is unnecessarily cruel, ignores the role that foxes play in the ecosystem, and likely will fail. The town should use rabies vaccine in bait instead. Using the vaccine approach, many European countries have virtually eliminated rabies in wild fox populations. Do the research! Knee jerk kill plans like this are ill-advised.

Mass killing won't solve the problem.

There are a number of other types of animals who have been suspected of rabies in this area; are we just going to kill all of them? Skunks? Bats? This is not the answer.

Euthanizing animals that show no sign of disease is not the answer.

The goal is to have a meeting, or everyone can talk. Somebody needs to stick up for the Fox. Not all of them have rabies. Very few in fact. If we kill all the fox, we will be overrun with Mice, Voles and gophers, and remember please they are habitat for TICKS. Mice live in People’s homes, they will bring those Tickbourne diseases into your house and gardens. Worse than ever. Because they won’t have any predators to eat them. The Fox!!! We need to have other choices of things to do about this problem.
