If you kill off all the predators you will have a boom of small mammals that will spread more diseases.

We need wildlife to maintain the ecosystem. Please do not kill them. Killing is a barbaric and inhuman step. Rather find out some alternative better plan without risking any life or sound ecosystem.

I was so mad when I read the article. I see a trap and that fox or whatever other animal is in looks and acts healthy I'm letting it out. Baiting a animal into a trap to then kill it with no sign of sickness, and your not feeding your family with it your cruel.

They are going to euthanize all animals caught in these traps, it is barbaric and inhumane.

Trapping and killing ultimately is a wasteful solution when considering the numbers that will die to eliminate a few. There has to be a better plan that is more targeted at the problem that can be considered.

I hope they agree to explore other options other than a mass killing. There must be a sensible option to control the rabies outbreak other than barbaric means.

Killing theses foxes isn’t going to solve the issue. Trap and test and release. If they have to be killed cause of having rabies and no cure as available, then it’s understandable

Vaccinate the species that can be vaccinated through a bait system. The less rabies in the area overall the lower the chance of it showing in a fox.
