This is a vital service for the Highlands & Islands, the worry is that some farmers may bury their dead animals without knowing the cause of death. A real risk of disease spreading unseen.

We are leaving ourselves wide open to chaos without a veterinary service lab at Inverness. With no swift diagnostic analysis of potential unknown diseases and subsequent immediate action, the results will be catastrophic. This is a dangerous move and should be cancelled

It is vital that we keep this service in a central position like Inverness within the Highland region and to think of closing it would be madness

This is a must save situation. For a healthy and well managed farm/croft animal population, retain the service.

We want to eradicate disease from Scotland not increase the risks. Close this centre and we will have just that....a major risk of disease spreading. Do the powers that be know the distance between Lewis & Thurso, Perth & Aberdeen for instance.. obviously not or they would not be suggesting the transportation of carcasses this distance. Inverness is central why ask us to go to Thurso for instance?
