The Ranchester storefront has been in Chinatown since 1992. It was one of the most busy Houston Police Department storefront in Houston and very important to Asian community. The landlord did not charge city any rent for the past 28 years to support. We shall keep this HPD storefront open, especially there are rising anti-Asian crimes recently.

As a business owners and home owners in this neighborhood, I strongly feel keeping the police station is the best for this surrounding. The crime rate is extremely high in this area. Recently, chase bank on corporate and Bellaire and Southwest nationals bank got broken in. Besides these two incidents, we always know there are crime alert in this Asian community. People break in the car, stealing, targeting Asian female are all common incidents happened in this area. Closing the police station will bring a huge impact to people’s live here. On top of this, we have a lot of seniors who are living in this area need help from the police as well. There is no doubt thst we need this police station to be here and continue to provide the support to this neighborhood. I don’t see any positive impact of this police station is closed. Please, also the COVID 19 already the economy and business in the area, we need to feel secure and get the support from the government in order to rebuild this city/neighborhoods. Please listen to what we want to say and reopen the police station as soon as possible.

We need the police station there for safety and security reasons. The Chinatown area is in a lot worse shape than it looks. Thanks for all the support we have been getting from the officers.
