Reverse the decision to close the Anaconda Job Corps Center

Don’t let Anaconda be another community in Montana struggling to keep schools open and families employed. The work the Anaconda Job Corp provides is essential to the nucleus of the community. Without this entity local businesses will suffer which in turn correlates to Montana’s economy being impacted.

Bad decision that hurts our already challenged youth in this rural state. But tax cuts for the wealthy? Oh , we got those!

Closing this Job Corps would a very foolish move. It provides so many young people with an opportunity to turn their lives around and become valuable citizens.

How does it make sense to cut social welfare programs and a successful program that trains young people in trades that pay a living wage? This is the last item to trim from the budget. Keep Anaconda Job Corps going for the future of this country!

This is very wrong. I really hope something can be done to reverse this senseless decision.

Losing the Anaconda Job Corps Center would immensely affect the chance for opportunities, since Anaconda is already limited on job opportunities as it is. The opportunity to better one's self & learn a trade, that opportunity is a must for Anaconda & would be an utter detriment for the community.

This program is an asset to the community and surrounding area. Please consider the harmful impact this closure will cause.

The job corps has served Anaconda and the country for 50 years providing training and employment for many who wouldn't have these things otherwise. If you need to cut some costs try looking inside the beltway!!

I went there. It helped me get on the right path. I'm making good clean money now and would like others to have the same chance I did at the Anaconda Job Corps

I want everything possible done to keep the Anaconda Job Corps operating.

The Anaconda Job Corp should remain open. The employees who work there and the students who attend benefit from this program. Keep it open for the good of the community.

I attended trapper creek job corps and it is a very beneficial program for the youth and staff. Please keep the center open for future generations

I am really opposed to the planned action of closing any CCCS - Job Corps especially Anaconda, MT. There are many individuals who would be harmed by this action - Students and Emlpoyees. I have seen many many young people benefit from this program. Closure at Anaconda would be detrimental to the employees and Anaconda as Anaconda has already experienced the detrimental effects of a company closure and most certainly doesn't need additional hardship. Furthermore, I have seen situations involving outsourcing or contracting services and it never saves dollars. The actual effect is more costly. I pray that you will reconsider this proposed action.

My son went there it changed his life! We NEED this to stay open!

I was a graduate from this school. mother divorced twice , No real role model in my life. mother gave up on trying to teach me anything of value and was more worried about herself than her children. I was headed down a path from no return except incarceration or worse. This program helped me in many ways from structure development and mentoring that I missed in my home life. I went on from graduating to working and becoming a productive member of society. I went into the military a few years after graduating and found my experience from Job Corp assisted in developing and training Soldiers to be the best they could be. It showed during deployments and my knowledge on expertise was beneficial to our military. successfully completing 3 deployments to Afghanistan, Africa and Iraq. I would not be the man I am today if it was not for the Job Corp and staff guiding and mentoring me from a troubled youth to a product member of society. Our Youth need a better start at life. We owe it to the industry to not give up our youth and blue collar working force. they are the backbone to society. the knowledge they learn will lead them into the future, train others and one day will make them supervisor's, business owners or just stay workers. I can not say enough about Job Corps they are not just for problem kids they should be for anybody that needs structure, development or a trade/ skill set. Without this source we are setting our Blue Collar work force up for failure. Even the Military Training I received was not as sufficient or in depth as much as I learned in the Job Corp. Nothing can substitute the expertise you receive there.
