I Graduated the Anaconda Job Corps in July of 2018 in the brick laying program. It is in the top 10 of the top Job Corps in the country. It helps young adults get a chance to get a well paying trade to work in and grow. You learn much more than a trade there, you learn how to communicate and befriend all different types of people. The staff there are amazing they put everything they have into that place for the students. They truly want us to succeed and grow into a successful, responsible adult.
The students and staff have done so much for the community, such as redoing the cemetery stone work, welding the street lamps on 3rd street, painting cabins for girl scouts and so much more. The community loves the Anaconda Job Corps on how willing the students are to do there best on WBL (work base learning) and volunteering for fundraisers such as the Turkey run, donating turkeys for families in need or blood donations. The.communtiy truly benefits from the Job Corps students hard work and the money they bring to business. Closing this Job Corps is a mistake.

The closing of one of the best places in our state would be one of the worst things that could happen .It provides so many wonderful opportunities as well as the help they give around the state. Please do not let this become a reality. Thank you for listening.

This has been a successful program for young adults and gives them the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be productive. In Montana that is all they have other than college and the military.
