Dear Dallas National Member:

We are asking for your support to encourage a change to the nominating process for the Board

at Dallas National.

The Bylaws provide that nominations for the Board are made by a Nominating Committee

involving only Board Members. This process typically results in “hand-picked” candidates who

share friendships and viewpoints with the current Board.

Proposal:

Revise the Bylaws to eliminate the “Nominating Committee” and allow any qualified Equity

Member to run for the Board if they collect 10 signatures of support from other Equity

Members.

We believe that our proposal would result in a more “transparent” election process involving a

larger and more diverse pool of candidates. Each potential Board candidate would actually be

required to educate our Members about their qualifications and viewpoints on a variety of

important club issues.

Request for Special Meeting:

Only the Board has the ability to revise the Bylaws and the nominating process. We hope that

the Board will seriously consider this proposal if it is supported by a substantial number of

Members.

By signing this letter below, you are indicating your support for calling a Special Meeting to

discuss this proposal with the Board and the entire Membership.
