It is absolute necessary for moral reasons that the government to pay back the locality during this period of time, especially, when only DLI FPS members were discriminatively singled out not to get the locality pay in the region

Before moving on, rectification of the back pay issue remains a must. Also, new employees start at 73K (usajobs.com) whereas some FP1701 AD00's with 10 years of service are being paid 60-63,000 a year. This also needs righting, as back pay and correctly monetizing employees' work are a glue essential towards engagement, ownership, and trust. It took decades to transform the Institute into the adaptable, mobile, and responsibe entity it is today. The sacrifices, investment of intellect, time, and effort, needs recognition in the form of paying attention to what employees are saying. Righting the ship has no expiration date. Never give up for even rivers wash away dams someday (Arthur Golden, Memoirs of a Geisha).

Although DLI employees have recently been given a significant increase in pay this increase i many years too late. It is hardly noticeable. Locality pay should be equal to the region's level. Please pay us back.
Please forward this petition on. many people are not aware of it.

If that is really what the regulation says, it's only fair that we receive that back pay.

ever since I moved to Monterey for the job in DLIFLC, I have gone into a huge debt due to the fact that the salary I was paid was not suitable to the local housing market and general market. I need locality back pay in order to pay off the debt I earned as a result of the job here. Thank you.Recently, I had to move to a smaller home, since my rent has gone up every year since my move, but my paycheck did not go up with it. It is quite a ridiculous situation where I started working here and got into debt! If I am not getting this locality back, filing bankruptcy is the only option.
