Every professional DJ has most likely already paid for all their songs and somewhere down the line I'm sure the artist received a piece of it so I think we should be able to go live on Facebook to showcase our talents and promote not only ourselves but the artist/artists of a song. It's your average music listener who illegally downloads songs why should we be punished?

Lets remove the copyrights for Djs on Facebook live given that we actually are the ones who make the artist famous

Artist want us to play their music. We don't claim the rights to their music, we are actually helping sales. We don't get paid off of live feeds.

As an upcoming dj, I find it ridiculous my mixes are removed because they sample vocals of a hit song. Even when I do play a song it's no longer than 1-2 mins of a song. I am a DJ not a boombox. With that said, I am just trying to show case my talents. If you can allow something negative to be on live, I think I deserve the right to do something fun and positive on live.

It's very frustrating as a dj to purchase music, and even make your own music, try to find creative ways to showcase your talents as both a producer and capable dj only to have it removed moments after recording a live feed.
This has happened to me on youtube (with my own music video) and on facebook live when showcasing other artists music (which is another way we suppose artists.) In some cases I'd been able to prove I had permission from those artists, but to contact each artists whom's tunes you've played in order to keep your content online? As a producer, if someone paid for and used my music in a mix I'd feel frustrated for both myself and the dj that it was removed. Because they too would be helping to promote ME the artist.
There are loads of spaces online where you can showcase your mixes and you do not get hit with copyright laws. If Facebook want to keep ahead of the times they should adopt these ideas as well.
Let the mixes play!!
