Without informing the parents and players of Avoca Dupont Little League the District 16 Administrator and small part of the board of directors are planning to eliminate the league. The kids will be split apart and would have to join other leagues depending on where they are drafted. This league has been a vital part of the neighborhood since 1974, and last spring over 110 youths from ages 5-13 benefited from playing as a part of the league. In the past three years the advancements are improved fields and new uniforms. I understand the temptations during these tough economic times try to save a few dollars, but the league is in better financial shape than it has been in numerous years. We have a great group constantly working toward improvements that would benefit our children. Community pride as well as good sportsmanship is qualities that must be pasted on to our children. If actions are not taken now, the leagues will lose their charters forever.

Petition Below is to ask the board to allow the families and communities involved to have a say. After all they built our leagues into what they are today.
