LADSE is a CRITICAL piece of service to all the students it serves. Withdrawing from this program would be detrimental not only to the well being of the students and families it services, but to the schools it services as well.

LADSE's services will maintain a much higher level of quality than 102 can provide on its own. LADSE can minimize the impact of turnover or regulation shifts. Instead of withdrawing, 102 needs to hold LADSE accountable and maximize their services to the fullest extent possible.

As a mental health professional and parent in the district, I have seen the tremendous benefits of a unified organization taking care of the spectrum of special needs. Providing for specialized educational needs is not inexpensive. Let's let the organization with experience and a proven track record continue to serve our children's needs.
