I would request, to kick off all those, money eating , fatty smailing rich bureaucrates and put someone responsible, who is ready to sacrifice and sweat for the country.

With so much of young talent available in the country, why are we struggling for getting even a Bronze medal?
Its still not late. Forget the past. Preparations for the Olympics 2020 should start right now. Talent should be spotted at the Panchayat level.
First and foremost. Keep the Politicians away. An Indian Olympics Committee 2020 comprising of eminent sports persons who had represented the country in the Olympics and Asiad in the past should be formed. They know the Atmosphere in the Olympics. Let it be a 25 member committee. They should be involved right from the selection to the grooming/Training to accompanying the team to the Olympics field. The Physiotherapists/Doctors for the team should be there with the team right from the beginning so that they are thorough of the physical conditions of each and every athlete in the team. As far as possible, every state should have its representation in the committee
The Olympics committee should be under the control of the PM and should directly report to the PM. Nobody in the middle. Not even the sports minister. Because, in India the sports minister is a person who occupies the chair due to his political power and knows nothing about sports. Presently the officials in the Olympic team comprise of Politicians and friends of high profile leaders who are out on a picinic in the name of sports.
Talent hunt should begin right from the Panchayat level. Wide Publicity should be given regarding the selection so that it is transparent. Children/sports persons selected in one Panchayat level should be made to compete with the other Panchayats in the district and the best from the district should be selected. Those selected at the district level should be made to compete with the other districts in the state and the best from the state should be selected.
The best from the states should be screened to form the Indian Olympic team.The entire process should complete in 12 – 15 months so that the Training and gr

A Strategic Planning with Infrastructure developments and selection of Key personal with finance accountability which has to be published is the first step ..... Selection of Athletes by performance and not based on region, language and state......Grass Root development on sports with children .... Development of adequate facilities in states .... A commission which has committees picking up talented kids from young age and nurturing them to work class athletes .... Participation in international events ..... These are the common things that can be decisive in building up a strong sportsman nation ....

Watched an interview yesterday and the response from the Vice President of IOA reflect the most pathetic state of affairs. A marathon runner not provided with water because "didn't ask for water" is the most bizarre statement ever heard!! A complete dismantling and overhauling of the system is MANDATORY.

Also, why did officials travel business class to Rio while athletes traveled in Exonomy? The admins-mafia needs to be cleaned out. Only put patriots who love the athletes and have a genuine desire to serve them and the country in these positions. No egomaniacs.

Its grave injustice done to the Indian public and sports persons in general. These leeches should not be let free without punishment. Modiji and his govt should act tough and importantly the law should definitely find ways to punish these officials.
