Down with the oppressive patriarchy. All the stories i've read about the coming out of Weinstein's sexual harassment are from the lucky women who got away. The ones that can still say it was only sexual harassment. What about the ones who are too ashamed to admit they suffered sexual assault/rape and couldn't say no? For every woman who got away, there is likely one who didn't :(

I was molested by my step dad several times from 6-8 years old. I was threatened with death if I told anyone. For those of who don't understand the fear of speaking up, then I suggest someone sets you up for being raped all the way up to the actual physical rape, then let you go and ask you how scared you are. I am disgusted by those who have ZERO exposure to this turning around and hating on those have been seriously damaged from these monsters. I went to the pastor at a baptist church, he closed the door and proceeded to try and rape me. I screamed so loud it scared him and I ran out the door while he was trying to figure out what to do. Then I reported it to social services and the police. They came to my house making me sit in front of my abuser and was directed to voice my accusation. I was 9 years old, I was stunned and speechless. So, these so called serve and protect morons walked out concluding I was just a child being hateful. I've been damaged goods ever since. Go figure! So glad that people with high profile public access and money are taking a stand.
