STOP SEXUAL HARASSMENT NOW

I was also sexually harassed by an employer. It was deeply disappointing as I felt like this person hired me bc he saw something in me. He was a mentor to me. I thought he was a great man. I realized he was literally grooming me. This is a culture of assault on women. It’s in music, movies, media. It’s the social norm. It has to stop.

I support the dissolution of the Weinstein Company Board as they were overseers of the sexual abuse against women that occurred during their tenure.

May God bless and put a special hedge of protection around Rose McGowan and all actors coming forward right now. We're praying for you and cheering you on!

Stop abusing your power, the rape culture may have began with Harvey but was perpetuated by your silence. You are all guilty by staying silent to further your own power and wealth. You are all complicit.

The board was aware and continued to perpetuate rape culture and significant plausible threats of harm to others. hR and the board did not do their due diligence.

"I hope real change comes soon, especially for the women working in the industry who each day are forced to fight sexism just so that they can do their jobs. I hope change comes because the movies need new and different voices and visions, something other than deadening, damaging stereotypes and storybook clichés. And I hope change comes for those of us who love movies. I’ve spent a lifetime navigating the contradictions of that love, grappling with the pleasures movies offer with the misogyny that too often has informed what happened behind the camera and what is onscreen. The movies can break your heart, but this isn’t the time only for tears. It is also the time for rage." - @MahnolaDargis
